Electrical Distribution Projects

National Grid

Working both with main electrical contractors and direct for National Grid, we have considerable experience of the construction of all aspects of sub-stations across the national network. Construction has been undertaken both within the ‘live’ sub-stations and on green fields adjacent to the existing sites.

We have also carried out work for regional distribution companies such as Central Networks and EDF and assisted in the upgrade of electrical power needs for LUL.

Work has included:

  • Foundations for supergrid transformers including associated bunds
  • Fire / blast walls
  • Oil separators and associated drainage
  • Foundations for electrical equipments, generators etc.
  • Cable tunnels / cable troughs
  • Switchrooms and control buildings
